Arizona Wolf Trap field trips enable children to experience – often for the very first time – the magic of live theater! Field trips include a movement class on stage with professional dancers, a morning snack, a ballet performance by Center Dance Ensemble of Land of Letters and a participatory music session with Earthtones Jazz Ensemble.

Native Trails brings together traditional instruments, colorful dances and authentic attire to share stories of Southwest tribes. Students enjoy dances like the Southwest horse dance, intertribal pow-wow dancing and world- championship-level hoop dancing. Lawn seating; blankets strongly recommended and sack lunches welcome. Bring your class to SMoCA for a 45-minute tour led by docents. These interactive tours will engage your students to think critically about and discuss the compelling art on view. Tours align with the Arizona Visual Arts Standards and are age-appropriate to your class level.
